We would like to announce the change of President & CEO of Lawter, Inc effective June 23rd.

Ichiro Taninaka will return to Japan and will remain as Lawter’s Chairman and Senior Executive Managing Director at Harima Chemical Group (HCG) on top of his new responsibility to oversee Research & Development for all of HCG.

Mikio Katayama will succeed Ichiro as President & CEO. Mikio started engaging with Lawter in 2010 before the acquisition and joined Lawter as Director, Business Development in July 2014.  Mikio is widely recognized within Lawter as well as in the Pine Chemicals Industry.

With this well-prepared transition, we will make further efforts to serve our valued customers and stakeholders using Lawter’s “Better, Sustainable Chemistry”.
